Da Ottobre un EeePC 901 con 3G integrato

L’operatore mobile tedesco T-mobile, ha annunciato giorni fa l’uscita di un particolare modello di EeePC 901, con integrata una scheda HSDPA per la connessione 3G; non stiamo parlando di un modem esterno o di una chiave USB, ma di una soluzione unica, sfruttando i connettori già presenti sulla scheda madre.

L’EeePC 901Go, sarà venduto a 399 euro, senza obbligo di contratto ma l’utilizzo della connessione 3G sarà probabilmente legato all’operatore mobile (non si potrà sostituire le SIM con quella di un altro gestore in pratica).

T-Mobile and ASUS continue their successful cooperation with the marketing of the new Netbook Asus Eee PC 901Go with integrated mobile broadband technology. Due to the jointly developed “ASUS Connection Manager” within seconds after turning on the device, the customer starts surfing the Internet and can do so for up to five hours – no long waiting at boot time, no annoying installation of additional software or even setting up routers is required. Important software for the Internet and for working with documents is already preinstalled. This makes T-Mobile users the first ones to enjoy an Eee PC with integrated mobile broadband technology.

The core of the ASUS Eee PC 901 Go is the quick and power-saving Intel ® Atom ™ processor with 1.66 GHz. With the built-in UMTS module with HSDPA up to 7.2 Mbps downstream and HSUPA for up to 2.0 Mbps upstreams fast uploads are possible. Other highlights include the large 8.9 inch display, the large multi-touch pad with special functions for mobile use, the 1.3 megapixel Web-/Videokamera as well as the advanced interface diversity, including Bluetooth and VGA port. With just 1.14 kilograms the device is very light and has dimensions of 225 x 17 x 22-39 millimeters. The ASUS Eee PC 901Go will be offered without a contract at a price of 399 Euros.

Sono in aumento quindi i netbook forniti con connessione 3G integrata; dopo Vodafone ed il suo Dell Mini Inspiron con HSDPA integrato e dopo l’offerta della stessa T-Mobile su un particolare modello di AspireOne con 3G, ecco adesso la prima volta dell’EeePC.

Quando vedremo una soluzione simile anche in Italia?
